A new addition to our range where at the foothills of ancient and mystical Preseli Mountains the bees gather early spring nectar at isolated apiaries that include flowers such as dandelion, primroses, bluebells and of course willow trees.
Taste the freshness of a naturally wild and rugged landscape with Pembrokeshire Spring Wildflower Honey.
It has not been judged for the Great Taste Awards as it’s a new release, so watch this space next year!
The Great Taste Awards judges said of the 3* ( (described by them as extraordinarily tasty foods – Exquisite!) honey:
“What a delightful aroma to this, with the herbal notes lifting from the jar. Grand granulation, almost fudgy in flavour. A real Winnie-the-Pooh honey, came the comment from one judge and we were all in complete agreement.”
“Golden, slightly granular, classic raw honey with an enticing floral aroma. Clean, sweet floral flavour has a slightly short finish but sings of the environment these bees have been working”
“A light set honey. The granularity dissipates beautifully to give a floral spread of flavours dotted with hints of propolis and beeswax. All the notes work in perfect harmony, a stunning mouthful.”
“Thick and cloudy, this honey has a lot of texture. The honey has a distinct floral and herbal aroma. We liked the way the honeycomb creates texture and the subtle flavours that appear along with it.”
