History of beekeeping

Some bits of this website are so new we haven’t even written it yet!

We will update soon. Just for now, just 3 points maybe to consider:

Bees have been around for over 53 million years, and they have similar predecessors going back millions before that.

Honey has been used medicinally for over 6,000 years.

Modern beekeeping in its current form started around 150 years ago with the ‘modern’ hive and not destroying colonies for their honey.
